God has not given us a spirit that makes us afraid; instead, He has filled us with strength, love, and self-discipline.
— 2 Timothy 1:7
Fear is a common struggle for many believers, yet we are reminded through Scripture that we are not meant to live in bondage to it. God’s Word reassures us that He has given us the gifts of power, love, and a sound mind. When fear grips our hearts, we can recall the truth in Isaiah, where God tells us not to fear because He is with us, strengthening and helping us. This promise affirms that we are never abandoned in our moments of weakness. Furthermore, as we seek courage, we can look to the example of David, who faced giants not by his own strength but by trusting in God’s deliverance. In casting our anxieties upon Him, we find comfort in knowing that God cares deeply for us, as expressed in 1 Peter. By replacing fear with faith, we are empowered to live boldly, reflecting the love of Christ in every aspect of our lives.
