Jesus stated that He would build His Church, and the forces of evil would not overpower it.
— Matthew 16:18
Church planting is an expression of God’s mission to spread the Gospel and build His Kingdom. We see throughout Scripture that God desires all people to know Him and to be part of His family. Just as Jesus commissioned His disciples to go and make followers of all nations, we are called to continue this work today. The early church grew rapidly because of the dedication and faith of believers who shared their testimonies and supported one another, reflecting the love of Christ. In Acts, we learn about the early disciples who were filled with the Holy Spirit and empowered to preach boldly. Their commitment to prayer and community laid the foundation for a thriving Church. When we plant new churches, we create spaces for worship, fellowship, and outreach, fulfilling the Great Commission. Let us remember that each new congregation is a testament to God’s promise of redemption and hope for all who believe.
