Prayer Before Surgery

Psalm 46:1

God is a reliable source of strength and support, always ready to help in difficult times.

— Psalm 46:1

Heavenly Father, as I stand on the brink of this surgery, I come before You with a heart full of trust and hope. You are my refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble. I ask for Your loving hand to guide the surgeons and medical staff, filling them with wisdom and skill. Lord, grant me peace in my heart and mind, knowing that You are beside me every step of the way. Let Your healing spirit envelop me, bringing comfort and assurance. May Your presence calm my fears and fill me with faith as I surrender this situation into Your capable hands. Thank You for being my support, for listening to my prayers, and for the promise of Your constant care. I trust in Your plan, believing that You will bring forth healing and restoration. In Your holy name, I pray, Amen.

Facing surgery can be a daunting experience, often filled with anxiety and uncertainty. Yet, as believers, we find comfort in the promise that God is our refuge and strength. This is a reminder that we are never alone, even in our most challenging moments. Scripture teaches us to cast our worries upon Him, for He cares for us deeply. When we acknowledge our fears and hand them over to God, we open ourselves to His peace, which surpasses all understanding. This peace can guard our hearts and minds, reminding us that God's plans for us are good. As we await the outcome of a procedure, we can recall His faithfulness throughout our lives, trusting that He is at work, even when we cannot see it. In moments of fear, we can lean on the promise that God walks with us through every trial, guiding us toward healing and hope.
