Prayer Before Surgery

Psalm 46:1

God is our safe place and our source of strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.

— Psalm 46:1

Heavenly Father, as I prepare for this surgery, I turn my heart to You, my refuge and strength. In this moment of uncertainty, I seek Your comfort and guidance. Surround me with Your peace, calming my mind and soothing my spirit. May Your presence be felt in the operating room, guiding the hands of the surgeons and the medical team. I trust in Your perfect plan and know that You hold my life in Your loving hands. Grant me courage and faith to face this day, believing in Your promises of healing and restoration. May I feel Your love enveloping me, reminding me that I am never alone. Thank You for being my protector and my hope. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen.

Facing surgery can evoke a mix of emotions—fear, anxiety, and hope. In these moments, we are reminded of God's unwavering presence. He is our refuge, offering shelter from our worries and strength in our weakness. Just as He reassures us in moments of trouble (Psalm 46:1), we can find comfort in His promise that He is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). Trusting in God's plan requires us to surrender our fears to Him, believing that He is working for our good (Romans 8:28). Each time we pray, we invite His peace into our hearts, transforming anxiety into assurance. God knows our needs and desires to walk with us through every challenge. As we face the uncertainty of surgery, let us cling to the truth that He is with us, guiding each step and holding us close. Our faith in Him can bring us hope and healing, reminding us that we are never truly alone.
