How long, Lord, will You forget me? Forever? How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and feel sorrow in my heart each day?
— Psalm 13:1-2
When we feel that God is silent, it's easy to become disheartened and question His presence in our lives. Yet, we must remember that silence does not equate to absence. Throughout scripture, God assures us of His unwavering presence, even when we cannot perceive it. In moments of despair, we might recall that Jesus Himself cried out in anguish, yet remained faithful to the Father’s plan (Matthew 27:46). This reminds us that even in our darkest moments, God is near. Hebrews 13:5 reassures us that He will never leave us nor forsake us, inviting us to lean into our faith during trials. By embracing prayer as a dialogue with God, we can express our struggles while also opening our hearts to receive His comfort. Just as a seed grows in the darkness before it breaks through the soil, our faith can deepen in the silence, preparing us for the breakthroughs to come.
