Prayer After Losing Someone to Suicide

Psalm 73:26

When my strength fails and I feel lost, God remains my support and my heart's true source of strength.

— Psalm 73:26

Heavenly Father, in this time of deep sorrow, we turn to You, our refuge and strength. As we grapple with the loss of our loved one, we seek Your comfort and understanding. Lord, help us to remember that even in our darkest moments, You are our source of hope and our heart's true strength. We ask for Your peace to envelop us, soothing our aching hearts and guiding us through this valley of grief. May we find solace in Your love and the promise of eternal life. Surround us with Your grace, and let us lean on You as we navigate this painful journey. We trust that our loved one is now at peace in Your arms, free from pain and sorrow. Grant us the courage to honor their memory and to seek help for those who still struggle. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Losing someone to suicide is an unimaginable pain that leaves us grappling with questions and heartache. In these moments, we are reminded of God's unwavering presence and love. When we feel weak and broken, He reassures us that He is our strength and our support. In our grief, we can turn to Him, knowing that it's okay to feel lost and confused. The Scriptures remind us that God draws near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. This is a time for us to lean into our faith, to seek community, and to find solace in God's promises. He invites us to cast our burdens upon Him, assuring us that He cares deeply for our pain. We are encouraged to remember that our loved one is held in His eternal embrace, free from the struggles of this world. Let us honor their memory by fostering hope and compassion for those in need.
