As we ponder the journey of a runaway child, we are reminded of the relentless love God has for each of us. Just like the prodigal son, who wandered far from home, every child is precious in the eyes of the Lord (Luke 15:11-32). When they stray, our hearts ache, yet we must remember that God’s pursuit of them is unwavering. Psalm 139 teaches us that no matter where we go, we cannot escape God’s presence. He is there in the darkness and the light, longing to bring us back to His fold. In moments of anxiety, Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us to present our requests to God, trusting that His peace will guard our hearts. We must also hold onto hope, as Jeremiah 29:11 assures us of God’s plans for our children, plans to prosper and not to harm. Let us pray fervently, believing in the power of God to restore and heal.
