The Lord hears the cries of the righteous and is close to those who are hurting and in distress.
— Psalm 34:17-18
In times of hardship, it can feel as though we are surrounded by darkness, yet the Bible assures us that we are never abandoned. God is intimately aware of our struggles and draws near to those who are suffering. When we face trials, we can find comfort in knowing that our pain does not go unnoticed. The teachings of Jesus remind us that we can cast all our anxieties upon Him because He cares for us. Even in our lowest moments, God offers us hope and healing. The apostle Paul encourages us to rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that they produce perseverance, character, and hope. This hope does not disappoint because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit. As we reflect on our challenges, let us open our hearts to His presence, trusting that He will guide us through and transform our pain into purpose.
